Make Your Home a Vessel for Him
Dear Momma,
My home is the Lord’s home, and I continue to sense the urgency to use it more deeply to honor Him. When we were blessed to buy our beautiful home a little over five years ago, we prayed with our girls for Him to use this home how He wanted, to glorify Him. We prayed our home would be a light, a safe place, a place of reflection of the Lord’s love for many.
I pray our home to be marked fully as the Lord’s.
In 2026, the Lord put on my heart to do something a bit different:
Open our home for as many as we can.
Start once per month.
The Lord will bring who He wants.
So, every month in 2026, our goal is to follow through and be obedient. Make our house a vessel for Him. A lighthouse. A place to feed others, love others, and talk about Jesus.
Talk about Jesus.
Worship Him.
Praise Him.
Make Him the Center of our Communion.
The vision that has been given to me is that kids are flooding our home, getting fed with some dinner, but truly getting fed the Word of God. The vision goes beyond our home, but to your home, too. We need more homes reflecting Him, talking about Him, inviting others to know Him, especially in this hour.
So, we’ve opened our doors. Got some pizzas and a friend brought some food too. We had ten kids during our first weekend and I’m reminded by Holy Spirit “whoever the Lord brings, He will bring who needs to be there”. We didn’t know who or how many kids to expect, but I’ve sensed the urgency to begin, even if just one shows up. This is different than the studies we’ve led throughout the years. It’s real time. Real questions based on where kids are at in real time.
During our first night of praying together and breaking bread together, we connected and we simply began with kids having space to ask any question(s) on their hearts. This would also give us a good idea of where the kids were so we that could help prayerfully guide our next steps.
Y’all, here were some of the questions from the kids…
How do I get closer to God?
How do I improve my connection with God?
Why does God make us suffer?
How do you know you’re not going to Hell?
How many people go to Heaven?
How do I know God is real?
How do I make sure my friends are the best options?
Why do people sin if God died for our sins?
What way was earth created?
Why can’t we all believe in the same God?
Why do we all disagree when it comes to how we got here?
How do you stay constant with your Bible study?
How do I slowly distance myself with a friend who I know is only pulling me away from God but she is in my everyday life? Even though I’ve tried to share the Word and God with her.
How do I stay consistent in reading my Bible even with a busy schedule and temptations not to?
How can I get past the fear of spreading the Lord out loud?
What is this showing me?
Our kids are hungry to know their Lord and Savior.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, we need more.
More homes opened talking about Jesus and teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ
More space for the next generation to ask questions and grow in their faith in community just like the early Church in Acts 2 did
More realization that our homes are the Lord’s and prayer He uses our homes for His glory
More invitations for Holy Spirit to be welcomed into our homes to do what only He can do
More time pouring into eternal things
So, I’m challenging us to do more in my own home. I’m also challenging you to do the same. Make your home a vessel for Him and His children.
The hour is urgent. He will be returning soon.
Let’s turn our Eyes to Jesus because it’s all for His Glory.
In love,
Kassie Leigh
